Yeah, Dave, and good for you for walking the show. But don't you wish you had some stats instead of wearing out your shoes?

I ended up walking that show one year (at Rosemont, right?) and decided it wasn't the venue for my company.

It hurts to walk a show and think you're missing out on business though.

The other option is to see if anyone you know will be there. If you don't know anybody, you have to wonder why. (This relates to my recent post about the bigger things at shows, especially developing friendships with other companies.)

It's hard to believe anything BP says, isn't it Geoffrey? Once you've lost people's trust--whether you're an individual or a corporation--it's very hard to get it back. And it takes a lot of time.

And what constitutes "doing right?" I don't think we yet know the full extent of the damage...

Dave, I know. There's nothing better than building relationships face-to-face--that's what good business is all about. Hope the new show is fruitful.

I'm sitting in the lobby of my hotel about to leave for a new show I've picked. I'm excited about this event because of the partnerships I am already forming by being here. Something that will help take my company forward despite the number of leads I may get. It is expensive, but, I wouldn't call it a luxury either.
